*Member Only - WCET “Dinner Party” – The Big Credentialing Tent

When:  Dec 4, 2020 from 11:00 AM to 12:15 PM (MT)

Who would have imagined that colleagues would gather at a lovely dinner party to talk about credentialing during a pandemic recession? Just such an event is exactly what WCET will host at our upcoming “informal dinner party and conversation” on December 4, 1:00-2:15 pm EST.

Many organizations and foundations are challenging postsecondary education providers to rethink what credential programs (degree and non-degree) are needed in today’s competitive marketplace. What’s best for students? What’s needed by employers? What’s the role of credentials in lessening socioeconomic gaps in the U.S.?

A brilliant group of dinner guests will engage in a lively conversation about who is doing serious work in the redesign of credentials and why they’ve determined this is such a high priority, especially now. The dinner guests include:

  • Marty Alvarado, Executive Vice Chancellor, Chancellor's Office of the California Community Colleges
  • Michael Collins, Vice President, Jobs for the Future
  • David Leaser, Senior Program Executive, Innovation and Growth Initiatives, IBM Support Transformation, Skills and Globalization
  • Holly Zanville, Strategy Director, Lumina Foundation
  • John Opper, Executive Director, Distance Learning and Student Services, Florida Virtual Campus

Reserve your spot for this intimate conversation today! Registration for this exclusive WCET member event is required. You will receive a confirmation email once your registration is approved.
